She stands at the edge of Lionheart Canyon, where the whistling wind echoes through the red rocks she’s learned to befriend. Her breath catches as the sunlight warms her face, weary eyes coming alive again. Memories of the past five years are woven through her ribcage, as she gathers her younger self in a gentle hug. Stepping onto the trail once overgrown with unfamiliar brambles and thorns, she follows the map that is now known by her Lionheart. The earth’s wild bones are deeply intertwined with her own, and she walks with soft wisdom and courageous healing. She won’t leave herself behind.

This collection reflects Lionheart Canyon Studio’s 2020 cornerstone collection, The Earth’s Wild Bones Feel More Alive Here.” Five years later, artist Kate Laing draws on her journey through EMDR therapy to reclaim her self-trust. This body of work is an exploration of following her creative intuition and voice. Each piece is an intentionally handwoven artwork, an heirloom to follow your own Lionheart path for years to come.
