"After the Storm" Weaving

$175.00

“After the Storm” was the weaving created during the Omaha Art Fair, when artist Kate Laing’s booth and artwork were damaged by the storm. This weaving was completed several weeks following the storm, and represents the resilience of an artist and her work.

Handwoven by artist Kate Laing with vintage art yarn and recycled cotton cord. The branch was ethically and legally foraged in Montana. There is a small cherry wood tag, signed Lionheart Canyon, sewn onto the back of the weaving as the artist’s signature.

This weaving is perfect for displaying over a couch, bed or dining room table, along with other pieces of artwork — or as a standalone piece in a smaller space. Recommended display is with gallery lighting or natural sunlight, to ensure the color story is shining any time of day.

Payment plan available via Afterpay at checkout. Free local pick up in Omaha, NE is available.

Handwoven on a wooden frame loom by artist Kate Laing, 2026. Collected artwork will be wrapped neatly in paper and tied with twine, and packaged safely to travel to your home.

MEASUREMENT INFORMATION:

  • 5” wide x 15” long — the width and length of the woven body and fringe.

  • 8” wide — the width of the wood
